Trade War Fails to Impact Spotted Boxfish

Fish Ratings – Hong Kong – May 12 2025: Fish Ratings has affirmed Spotted Boxfish at ‘A+’ (Stable Outlook), reflecting its strong dermal integrity, mid-range toxin deterrent systems, continued relevance in novelty fish portfolios and its resilience to trade tensions between the United States and China.

Spotted Boxfish is built like a floating polka-dot ottoman, protected by a bony carapace and covered in toxic slime that can kill other fish, making it unsuitable for aquariums but surprisingly well-adapted to global trade wars.

The fish does not engage in the manufacture, transport or consumption of semiconductors, soybeans or steel. As a result, its Global Supply Chain Sensitivity is low.

While tensions between the world’s two largest economies persist, affecting global markets and investor confidence, they have zero measurable effect on the day-to-day operations, ecology or psychology of the Spotted Boxfish.
